ELECTRÉN, S.A. is a company of the corporate group VÍAS Y CONSTRUCCIONES, S.A., that belongs to GRUPO ACS, a leadership corporation in infrastructures development in the areas of civil and industrial engineering. In 2010, ACS was the first Spanish company in this sector, the second in the world by stock market capitalization and the tenth in the sales ranking. For ELECTROTREN, being an organization of a very specific activity, having the structural support of a big corporation means the possibility to have the best resources, to offer its customers an excellent quality, minimum risks and optimum achievements.

ELECTRÉN is specialized in energy systems for the railway: air line contact, traction substations and infrastructures for the transformation and distribution of electric energy; from the project conception, to its operation and maintenance. The high professional qualification of our human team and our own and specific machinery fleet, allow us to offer engineering, construction and maintenance solutions to any project of railway drive.

In 2010, ELECTREN has fulfilled 20 years of activity, starting with the project of the transformation substations for the first high speed railway line in Spain: the AVE Madrid – Seville. During these years, ELECTREN has participated in the main railway developments in the country: both high speed and speed high, conventional lines, subway and streetcars or trams, becoming into a key supplier for the operators.

Following its international expansion strategy, ELECTREN has been integrated in the markets of France, USA, Portugal, Poland and Morocco. References outside of Spain, are the works for the TGV line Paris-Lyon, for the substitution of contact wire, with a zero index incidence.
